Discover Us at the Bellaire Farmers Market

You might have spotted us at the Bellaire Farmers Market over the last decade. We set up shop on the northeast corner and often sell our produce through the Torch Lake Co-op. Our specialties include nursery starts, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, sweet and hot peppers, onions, garlic, eggplant, and winter squash. Additionally, we grow beans, kale, bok choy, spinach, asparagus, head lettuce, and a variety of herbs such as basil, parsley, and cilantro. Each season, we aim to improve our practices, and this year, we’re focusing on perfecting our cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.

How Does CSA Work?

CSA is a commitment to high-quality local produce and supporting local farmers. While we do not offer à la carte shopping—please visit the co-op for that—we consider your tastes and needs when packing your share. This approach encourages healthier eating and aligns with the seasons. Start your weekly menu with an abundance of fresh local produce! By participating, you're making an eco-conscious and meaningful choice for sustainability and community support, which not only provides you with a delightful array of fruits and vegetables but also connects you with the stories behind the food you enjoy.

What Does Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Mean?

Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, is a partnership between us and you, offering you a share of our harvest. By purchasing a share, you help fund the upcoming farming season. Traditional CSAs include a work-trade component, but many now primarily involve monetary transactions for shares. We are open to either. Once you acquire a share, you receive a portion of the harvest each week.

We are one of the 6 farms that founded this cooperative. We continue to partner with the co-op to aid in marketing and distribution. If you add-on to your CSA share by purchasing items through the co-op online farmers market we will offer you a free delivery!
